On 11-13 March 2018, SCILJ hosted the third retreat on critical research in international law (CRIL) in Gimo. This year, the participants were very gratful to benefit from comments by Professor David Kennedy, Harvard Law School. The participants came from Peking University, the University of Amsterdam, the University of Belgrade, the University of Helsinki (the Erik Castrén Institute), Lund University, the University of Gothenburg, Uppsala University, Örebro University and Stocholm University. The event was organized by Nikola Hajdin and Pål Wrange of SCILJ with generous support from the Edvard Cassel Foundation. The previous CRIL retreats have been visited by Martti Koskenniemi (Helsinki) and Anne Orford (Melbourne). Plans are under way to organize a fourth CRIL retreat in the spring of 2019.
