Stockholm Centre for International Law and Justice (SCILJ) was established in February 20, 2012 with the following missions:
- To develop research in international law, especially the relationship between international law and other legal systems and between international law and international politics and ethics;
- To strengthen the links between academia and practice;
- To establish and maintain international contacts, and
- To strengthen the profile of international law at Stockholm University.
The centre shall have an interdisciplinary and practice oriented charachter and will make international law visible public discourse.
Besides the various research activities presented on this website, researchers connected to the Centre are engaged in teaching. The courses in international law available at Stockholm University include the basic course in public international law, human rights in global perspective, international criminal law and international echonomic law.
